Warning! Don't Mix Benzodiazepines With Alcohol!
I almost died a hundred times! This is a PSA!
The amount of times I’ve woken up choking on my vomit, gasping for air is insane!
The amount of times I’ve thrown benzos in my beer and jokingly laughed as I called them Beerzodiazepines, only to end up in a psych ward, is also insane!
Mixing Benzodiazepines with alcohol has taken so many lives, and ruined even more. It’s a deadly combination with two very risky consequences that can ruin or take your life.
Complete blackouts where you remember absolutely nothing, you’re effectively a super drunk idiot on auto-pilot.
And the even worse consequence is death!
Here is a list of the top Benzos, many people may not even realize they take a benzodiazepine:
Xanax (Alprazolam)
Valium (Diazepam)
Ativan (Lorazepam)
Klonopin (Clonazepam)
Librium (Chlordiazepoxide)
Restoril (Temazepam)
Dalmane (Flurazepam)
Halcion (Triazolam)
Serax (Oxazepam)
ProSom (Estazolam)
Benzodiazepines, like alcohol, enhance the calming neurotransmitter GABA in the brain, slowing down brain function and creating a relaxed, euphoric feeling.
So basically they are alcohol pills.
So you get exponentially more messed up.
This is why you don’t remember anything and you often won’t wake up if you choke on your vomit in your sleep.
So do not mix Benzos with alcohol.
That’s my PSA for today!
